Foodies

no purpose for this post, but i think this is absolutely beautiful.

nasi padang!! don’t you just loveeee LOVE the colours?

thai coconut.

not my favourite drink but i take great pride for getting that hole.

heh.

our first spread of food for last year’s iftar. SEDAP!!

i just have to.

not only its my favourite spread on my bread,

but, also, the name of my favourite guy.

for being there and understand.

(simply because i’m not the best girlfriend around)

durian season is here again.

oh daddy daddy… lets buy durians, daddy!!

does that look yummeh or what?

but, i only like fresh durian. and to my opinion, its best eaten when chilled, cause it wont be too heaty.

i also hearts pengat, bubur durian and lempuk.

and other variations, i detest it. especially the sweets and keropok. so gross!!

i finally had my fill of durians. delicious!

besides the not so wonderful aftermath pungent smell, the only flaws durians ever had is they usually are at most on the wrong season. why do they ever ’seasoned high’ during the most humid month. them being heaty is not helping with the temperature.

its time like this we need to get the aircon fixed (the fan is just rotating hot airs).

while waiting for the adventure to start, i kill my time by making something i’ve been wanting to loooong ago, ever since i saw a Celebrity Chef made it on tv. it was very simple really. and my mom love it so much that she decides to make it on hari raya.

its soooo simple that all you need are cornflakes, chocolate and caramel and some butter. the chef also add some golden syrup but i omit that out cause caramel and chocolate is already a sweet combination.

and so after melting the chocolate, caramel and butter together over double boiler, all you need to do is crush the cornflakes a little and coat the melted ingredients over the cornflakes. and place them in papercups. and voila!! done!!

if you wonder how it looks like, take a peek!!

it may not look like much. but my family loves it!!!

one fine day, when i find the time, courage and power, i’ll start baking this pretty adorable lil things called cupcakes!!

looks yummy!! ya??

i cant wait to get started!!

i thing i’ll bake the one with frosting instead of icings because of obvious reason: icing taste weird lar… and besides if i baked the one with frostings, at least my luckystar bestfriend can lick the frostings off since she dont eat cakes.

dont thank me kin, i’m thoughtful. i know. huahahahahaha….
